more pickup questions

I may have missed something here, but since the first thing you mentioned was ZZtop, wouldn't it make sense to try a Pearly Gates in the bridge? I've found the AlNiCo II to be kind of a weak pickup in the bridge.

I think the PG is supposed to be an AlNiCo II with a little more output.

I'd vote Seth/Pearly Gates.

The Pearly's got a sharp top end, for sure. But it's not the same pickup that's in Billy's guitar- heck, it's not even the same pickup that Duncan made for him.
