yeah single...I know Martin's site lists it being a '58 junior but I recall him stating somewhere it was a '57 ..so it's either one or the other

It was Barre on that solo. And still one of his best.
legend has it that Martin recorded the Aqualung lead while Jimmy Page watched on from inside studio.
Love Martin Barre and his early tone, especially Locomotive Breath. Can't really take Ian Anderson though.
I love Ian and i love his Flute playing. He's also my favorite acoustic guitarist.
I've always liked the way he detaches a word sometimes, as in 'Wond'ring Aloud': "Then she comes, spilling crumbs on the bed, and I shake my.....head(yeah).
He does that a bit in 'Lifes a Long song' too. Clever stuff. The guys a genius. What a band.
Why is it you can't take Anderson, Snag? I know he has some slightly irritating mannerisms and can be self-indulgent but I think he makes up for that in many other ways.
