MK is selling some amazing guitars. One of his Bursts and his pair of SLO-100s along with the Walk of Life Tele and famous Pensa are in there. His collection is pretty amazing.

I hope he's ok and isn't sick or anything.

I'm going to make some bids, but I'm not sure if I'll score anything. You never know!

Hey Amp360, was there any National resonator guitar in that booklet?

I understand why he doesn't auction his 58 LP, as he has said it's his favourite. So I wondered if he sold of any of his resonators, but kept his fav (I think he has more than one).?

Also, I wonder when it comes to strats. Which one is his "to the grave" strat? I would guess his 54,or maybe the 61-63 red?

That's a handsome looking looking '59. Someone should probably log 9 1258 in the Burst Serial archive in case it disappears forever after the auction.

:D I can tell you it's a game-changer. It's one of the best investments I've made. It's a lot cheaper than a lot of the alternatives when you add up the cost of components.

The advantage is just committing to everything and not having to mess around with plug-ins or anything. It just sounds good. Plus, running through it when mixing just sounds a lot bigger than without it. In the pic, I have an A2D, but now I'm using a 3124 and a 2500. 8 preamps is fine for me when I do drums.

I have a four-piece kit and use 2 kick mics, 2 snare mics, 2 overheads, and two tom mics (sometimes). 8 API pres/eqs vs more mixed pres just makes sense to me. I'm all API now - sold my UA and ADL pres. Things tend to blend a lot better when everything isn't mixed pres. YMMV.

game-changer
The reality of using outboard gear instead of plugins is a game changer.. your recordings and mixes go to another level.. spatial perception is a thing too.. I salute your set up and commitment to real audio production.
