• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

This is an amazing job!

The color is amazing and the grain is delicious too!

I especially think the back turned out great...... I hope your belt buckle approves!!

Congrats on a great project and may you play her in good health.

I'm stoked and it's not even my guitar! This is what I image a 'burst would look like if I happened upon one in an attic.

That's our common dream, isn't it? It's as close as I'll ever come, I'm sure.

That's awesome, whatta beaut! The only problem I have with this whole process is giving up the guitar for six months in order to get everything done.

Thanks. I'm trying to find time to enjoy it.

I'm sure Kim got tired of me bugging him (and I got tired of waiting), but the quality of the work is great.

I got a few more pics this week. It looks like the distressing is pretty much done; I asked Kim for light, but realistic distressing. I've done some heavier distressing, myself, but I didn't want to go that far with this one (I may start a Backstage thread about a "madeover" Orville by Gibson that I did).

Anyway, it looks like it should be about ready to be setup and shipped back home. Here are some pics:
