Most certainly licensing of the intellectual property associated with their logo and imagery has earned more than their music by now, and will continue to do so... ad infinitum.

What hath KISS wrought?

"Hey let's make avatar's of ourselves as over the hill, out of shape lip synching mimers."

The only way this is remotely interesting is with a virtual version original line up...

Last shows in NYC homecoming, MSG and all that, and they still didn't sell it out???

Makes me think that Nobody is gonna care about these augmented sci-fi comic book over cooked b.s. "characters".

Will the avatars offer $2K meet and greets and sell "stage used" guitars after every show?

I dont get it either I guess.

If there was a Vinnie Vincent included I would be there. COTN is the only Kiss album that I really like.

Fucking absurd.
For any band. It's prerecorded music so how is it "live"? Avatars or not.
The world is nuts

I saw KISS perform live one time; that was in July, 1976 during the DESTROYER Tour.

I was 15 years old at that time and to see a decent size coliseum being taken over by KISS and seeing everything in sight being blown to smithereens was quite epic for a teenager; something that could never be topped ever again, even by KISS.

Avatars? hahaha ........................ good luck .............

did he ( VV ) play on that album ?
Yes. It's Vinnie, Robbin Ford, and Rick Derringer. Vinnie wrote the majority of the songs on COTN and LIU.

IMHO if they're going to do avatars have Peter, Ace, and then switch it to VV and Eric Carr for the later makeup songs.

Hey why not? People are throwing money at Taylor Swift and Beyonce to watch their movies.

Maybe avatar Paul Stanley can still sing.

Steve Farris from Mr. Mister played the solo on the title track of COTN. They had him audition for the band and while he was there had him go in the studio and cut a solo.

I thought Rick Derringer played the solo on the title track. Either way, great solo and Farris is a monster. That record, from a guitar-playing perspective, is a great listen! Cusano, Farris, Derringer, and Ford. I've never been an Ace Frehley fan (or a Kiss fan) but I love COTN. Lick It Up is good as well, but it's all VV.

Had the first VVI record been the followup to LIU, with VV's songs, Paul singing, and someone like Michael Jackson reeling in the solos it would have been epic.
