Hi @matkoehler, I've just started the process of ordering an m2m R9 Murphy Lab ULA through my authorized dealer. First question, do you have an approximate lead time and second, is there no way to get directly involved with your team or does everything have to go through my dealer first? Thanks!

This is not my area so much but I do have some visibility on general lead times; if the build doesn't require any special engineering or finishing, as of today I would expect no longer than six months from when the order is placed. Perhaps half that time again depending on complexity. Your dealer should be in direct contact with Custom Shop so they should be providing you with updates and facilitating all the back-and-forth. I do know we have a lot of plans and expectations for the Made to Measure program going forward; making it more accessible in every possible way.

Thanks for your feedback! I do require a bit of special finishing though (i.e. custom fretboard inlays)

Hi Matt,

I just bought a 2024 heavy aged Murphy Lab ‘59 Les Paul Slow Ice Tea Fade & it is amazing!

Could you please confirm if the posts and thumbwheels are brass?

Thanks for your help.
I think this has been covered earlier but yes they are nickel-plated brass, as they were in the 50s.

Mat - any update on the 'configurator'? Thanks.
What I know is what I shared -- that there are a lot of plans. But I don't have updates beyond that; the M2M program lives in the Commercial team umbrella so I am cheering from the sideline. You may have noticed some updates to our website recently; I believe the hope is to couple a configurator with the future state of the site.

Thanks Matt, appreciate it! Would it have the new bridge that was in development? It sounds killer

Mat - the new Epiphone USA Coronet looks good.

Notice it has the Carousel Knobs.

Will these go onto other Epiphone including non-USA as appropriate going forward, and will they be available as accessories direct from the website or dealers?

Since this are double-cuts, any lefty models coming? Likewise, and USA level double-cut Juniors apart from Beato, and also lefty models?

thanks....

Posts have been brass for awhile. Not sure if they changed thumbwheels to brass yet? They may have?

They are not new; we've used them before and as recently as the new Zephyr Regent Deluxe model. We use them on an era-appropriate basis, which is why you don't see them more often. Octagonal daka-ware style knobs seem to be readily available aftermarket so not sure there is a compelling reason to source and sell them; bigger fish to fry there IMO.

Lefties are a well-covered topic in your previous questions -- and the song remains the same; we want to ensure at least some lefty coverage across price bands and categories but we don't typically launch with lefty versions unless the forecasts call for it. You will see more materialize as the forecasts evolve, for sure. Thanks as always for your questions.

More well-covered territory in this thread. Yes they are plated brass, and yes they have been that while for many years.

Since when? No earlier than 2018/2019 cause my 2015 TH59 came with steel thumbwheels.

I will find out. I confirmed with our team and our vendor in 2020 that they are brass, and we cut one in half in 2022 to be sure, thanks to this thread. :)
Thats why the tone is better on them then. Cause it definitely makes a difference
