Hagstrom Hollow Body

This is my current favorite guitar. It is a Hagstrom ‘67 Viking II. This is a reissue of the one that was featured in Elvis’ 68 comback special. It also happens to be a fantastic jazz guitar (IMHO):

Hagstrom makes great guitars. I played a viking baritone for a while and was really impressed with its voice. Ended up trading it for an Eastman which was also pretty nice, but traded that for a Les Paul, lol.

I had an Eastman when they first came to the US (around 2005). It was a good guitar I really liked the neck on it. I still prefer laminate wood hollowbodies, they just sound better to my ears.

I never looked close at the comeback special. Just assumed it was a custom Fender Coronado!
