Gibson Volutes - Show me your Pics

Hi all,

Would appreciate if everyone who has Lesters with volutes please submit some pics, best side view you have if at all possible.

I'm trying to gauge sizing from very small through to ginormous to get some perspective.

A prior owner changed the tuners to Grovers but otherwise original and fully functional.

And people like to bash modern Gibson QC!

Maybe, but the finish looks intact... it's coming up on the need for a re-fret and I will probably overhaul things.

Not too concerned with total originality on this one, the electronics will stay.

'72 custom here. Neck break, refin and new nut but the volute hopefully comes out OK in photographs!

Well this one isn’t Gibson but it’s a pretty cool looking volute. It’s my Martin D-28E Modern Deluxe.

My 1978 L5s has quite a volute, and check out the mounting angle of the top 2 tuners..

Yikes I always avoided the volute - Look at the Krazy flame on rockabilly69 neck - L5 fives are sweet !
