Fusion F1 vs Fusion Urban vs Mono Vertigo Gig Bag - no worries with my LP CS
I bought a Fusion F1 gig bag back in 2011. I use it for all my guitars including my Les Pauls, Strats, and Tele. It is getting near the point where I need a new gig bag. Someone recommended a Mono Vertigo. Here is my overview.
Fusion F1:
- 30 mm thick, really good padding
- Good neck brace and Velcro locks it in place, I don't worry about it when carrying my Les Paul Custom Shop,
- Lots of pockets,
- Seems to be weatherproof,
- Handles in the middle of the bag so you can carry it sideways,
- Good price: it cost me 132 euros
Fusion Urban:
- 20 mm thick, good padding
- Good neck brace and Velcro locks it in place, I won't worry about carrying my Les Paul Custom Shop,
- Lots and lots of pockets,
- Seems to be weatherproof, and includes a rain cover,
- Handles in the middle of the bag so you can carry it sideways,
- Price: around 170 euros
Mono Vertigo:
- 20 mm thick, good padding
- Good neck brace but no Velcro to hold it in place, I WOULD worry about carrying my Les Paul Custom Shop,
- I've heard the neck on Les Pauls fits tightly in the Vertigo which is also a concern,
- Only one pocket,
- Seems to be weatherproof,
- No handles in the middle of the bag,
- Price: around 222 euros
