• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Does anyone remake the Les Paul Artisan hot bridge pickup from 70s

my friend has a ‘77 Artisan w the original series VII tarbacks in the neck and bridge and the super humbucker in the middle. Anyway, his bridge pickup is I believe around 16k and sounds so good (I know these used to be almost universally hated). I know these are the predecessors of the dirty fingers, but does anyone actually remake these Artisan pickups with ceramic magnets? Gibson is making some “70s” pickup now that is 16k w an alnico V but I’m looking for this pickup w the ceramic magnets. Thank you in advance

Manilas does a ceramic Tarback:

Perhaps Bill Lawrence's legacy company Wilde run by his wife has the recipe and will do custom orders, I don't know...

Just FYI - I recently bought a 70s Explorer with the newly developed 70s Tribute pickups by Jim DeCola and like them very much.
