• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

My `04 R-7 Custom is a one piece body. The finish is also pretty thin on it. The only reason I'd want to send it off someplace is to get rid of the cheesy trussrod with the rubber sheath and have it glued with Hot Hide glue for the fingerboard.
Too bad Dave didn't make the last two inlays the same size. The top three inlays on a `50's Custom were all the same size.

I had 2004 R7 Custom with one-piece body that I've stupidly sold in 2006.
I have requested the Custom Shop to make it a one-piece body and had to wait 5-6 months for it.

I wanted to have another one-piece body 3 pickup custom with Grover Rotomatcs (I didn't want to have Kluson replicas) again but this time it took a year and two months to fullfil that order. I ordered it back in March 2009 didn't get it until May 2010, which was around the same time that Gibson came out with a limited run of 2 pickup Gibson Black Beauty 1960 Anniversary reissues.

The 2004 custom was gloss finish with black side dots and was pretty heavy. The current one I have is the VOS finish, with tortiseshell side dots and is way lighter.

thanks for the complement:salude
I'm still in the honeymoon phase and it really plays as good as it looks... very comfy after neck was reshape to 59ish carve :hank

I also change the pots to CTS-TVT and NOS pio bees (new pics above... i'm on the hunt for the other BB)caps... results was this very obvious "thicker" sounds, it's freakin' cool and nasty at times:headbange
