They're queued for production. I assume it'll be July/August until they'll be available again. Thanks for posting this & good luck with the legal action!
Do you anticipate getting 500k pots anytime soon?
Thanks.

VIPots just posted that the new production pots are in, at least the prototypes.Unfortunately, I was dumb enough to have been waiting for almost a year now for a harness from Jackson ElectronicL Luthier. First I was told that VIPots had gone out of business. Then I got the exciting news that Centralabs was being resurrected and all that nonsense. Then it was "Had to replace the A/C in the shop." Next it was "The recent flooding in Texas left us without electricity or internet." I finally searched for this guy and found many, many, many complaints on the interwebs. Just shelled out the money for a different harness from a different company today and accepted the reality that the harness from Jackson Electronic Luthier is never gonna ship. It really is a shame that this guy can't get it together because the pictures of these harnesses are literally works of art. They are absolutely beautiful but unfortunately it looks like they also probably don't exist. Live and learn guys.

Looks like the image is no longer available, but I'm very curious what he said!It goes beyond bad service, the guy is absolutely nuts. This is the latest (and probably last) message I got from him:

Thanks Mr. JacksonHello,
I recently purchased a 2000 Les Paul Standard equipped with 490R / 498T pickups.
After a long efficient fine tuning of the pickups (pole, height), I succeeded in obtaining a tone with a better clarity.
I'm delighted with this guitar, that i risk bought online in Spain.
I like the neck, the sustain, love the simple dress cherry burst without flames.
I'm beginning to like the 490R / 498T combo, but I contacted Rand aka Jackson Electronic Luthier for information about a new harness, and got back to me within hours.
Im actually hesitate between Sprague Vitamine Q with CTS pot and Bumblebee capacitor with CentreLab pots.
Annecdote, in 2020 when I started playing guitar, I called on Rand to build me a harness for my PRS SE, the sound of which was transformed.
Rand always responded promptly by e-mail to help me with the soldering procedure while we were in the middle of a COVID wave.
The quality of the simple PRS harness was magnificent. Received in France within 3 weeks.
When I changed knobs 4 years later, the splines on the CTS didn't fit the PRS USA knobs.
He again answered my questions 4 years after the order.
Different experiences as we can read, mine with JEL is really good.
Public court is never a good idea.

Nah.Hello musicians, I'm French and I live in Paris. You know the city of the 2024 Olympics
I obviously don't know Rand personally, but I'm sharing my experience after an order with Jackson Electronic Luthier dating from end 2020 and no doubt a new one to come for my new Les Paul.
Why this loyalty? Because I'm satisfied with his work and communication.
He's a craftsman, certainly with logistical problems, partnerships gone wrong, maybe personal problems.
Don't any of you already have your own small business?
We buy guitars for more than $2,000 and to make it perfect, waiting for a craftsman to deliver for more than 1 month is unbearable?
A shorter way ? Buy the different quality parts and soldier your own harness.
The last 2 messages are worrying. I was rather expecting advice or compliment on my new guitar from a historical forum.
Enjoy your weekend and clear your head!
Well, you've certainly nailed the passive-aggressive (and somethings flat-out 'aggressive') vibe of Rand, but keep denying.Collective paranoia? Ability to no longer think , analyze ...You are disturbing. The trio, do you belong to a nickel-contaminated sect? Is that any way to welcome a musician?
Grow up, it's urgent.
I'm going to make my own harness with CTS pots . Jupiter BumbleBee aluminum or tin capacitors are available from TAD Tube Amp Doctor in Germany.
I will give them a try
It's probably more interesting than this senile, single-minded discourse.
I have no stock in Centralab, CTS, Art of Tone, ViPots, Jupiter or any other small retailer that offers to make harnesses with this type of product. I'm not denying anything, I'm just sharing my positive experience with a craftsman. I remain convinced that conducting a public tribunal never leads to a positive resolution.Well, you've certainly nailed the passive-aggressive (and somethings flat-out 'aggressive') vibe of Rand, but keep denying.
Oh, and Google translate means typing French doesn't really convince anyone you're French-just saying.
Larry
Thank you fender69. Good to know. There is the option to get a matching impedance pickup set for a "few"For what it's worth, VI Pots have their 550k pots back in stock and are shipping. I have them in my Strats. Best pot I've ever used.
You realize you're referencing a purchase from four years ago, right? And there's an emphasis on Jackson/JLE's *recent* issues? But you do you.I have no stock in Centralab, CTS, Art of Tone, ViPots, Jupiter or any other small retailer that offers to make harnesses with this type of product. I'm not denying anything, I'm just sharing my positive experience with a craftsman. I remain convinced that conducting a public tribunal never leads to a positive resolution.
On the internet, there's always a lot of emphasis when things go wrong. Advertising like this to an ordinary craftsman won't shorten waiting times or the unavailability of electronic components (for whatever reason).
It can only lead to unresolved conflict.
Voulez-vous un cours de français, cher Lary ?
