• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

It's this Sunday, Nov. 9th. 10:00am at Waltham high school.
I'll be there looking for Telecaster pickups.

Cool: I am in the Providence area and would like to check this out.

Anyone have a website for directions to the high school? Or just the directions off 128/95?

get off 128 at Totten Pond rd (exit 27a) going towards Waltham; when you get to the lights at the T intersection/end of the road, take a left. It's a right turn at the next traffic light and up the hill ( there's a middle school or something in front of the high school, go pass that).

If you get to the WalLex shopping center on the left you missed it.

That should do it....

progress sucks.....

from the web page

"From I 95/Rte. 128 N&S: Exit 27A Totten Pond Rd., 1/4 mi. to left on Lexington St., 1/2 mi. to Waltham High School on the right. "

They've been dicking with the road layout down there for years and I'm probably a couple of rev's behind; take Totten Pond Rd, exit 27a. It's somewhat longer than a 1/4 mile to Lexington street though....

Yes. That 1/4 mi is very inaccurate. It's a lot longer. Fortunately, the left onto Lexington St. is at the end of the road.

Can you just bring gear you are willing to sell/swap? How do you hook up with others if you don't have a table like a music store? I have some pedals i would be willing topart with. Nothing special, but a couple of regular old cheapos.

The web site says that with each $7 admission fee paid , you can bring in one piece of gear to sell or trade. I'm guessing that if you have more than one thing to sell you can pay $7 for each thing.
I don't know how you hook up with potential buyers if you don't have a table.

Maybe you just walk around like the guys selling beer and dogs at ball games: " Flangers ..heaaah! Get your Flangers heaaah ! Flangers ! I got Flangers heaah"

I'm thinking about going to try and sell my POD 2.0 and digitech gen3, I'm thinking I can get more cash for them than I could at a music store. And also of course to drool over some vintage axes..
Anyone want a pod or g3?
shoot me an email

Basically you do

walk around selling hot dogs and beers and pedals...

ummm, to the guy selling the POD, you realize that those things are basically worthless once the new model comes out? I'm not trying to be condescending, but the local GC here was selling 2.0's for $99 when the XT came out.

These Mass. shows aren't exactly havens for good vintage fiddles, more like flea markets. I got tired of doing them and explaining to people why the guitars I brought were $3K each. If you have to ask...(shrugs)

good luck

True. Still, I go to every one and usually have a good time and find a few odds and ends that I need for my projects.

Im not at all offended but i think that's pretty interesting. I haven't been into any shops lately but on the web MF, Samash and others still have the pod 2.0 at right around $250. Are you sure you're not thinking of the johnson j-station? I know that has come down quite a bit.
Anyhow -$99 would be a killer deal on the pod.

I have both the 2.0 and xt. I just got the xt and it's true that it has a different sound. Some like it some don't. but I digress
