• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE HAVE MOVED THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER! Let us know how things are going! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

I'm in the market for a used Les Paul Traditional to pair with my 2018 Trad. Mine is a w9nderful example, but has time
sorted out the better years for Trads?

2013s Trads were good I always thought. Fat 50s necks, no weight relief. Interesting color palette.

Your 2018 is also from a good year for Trads

You might also want to consider a 2019+ Standard. These are non-weight relieved and have either 50s or 60s necks. Lots of interesting colors too. Great guitars.

I can confirm. Folks with top of the line Les Pauls have told me how great mine sounds. And truthfully, it's got my favorite type of Les Paul sound. It is heavy as hell, but I don't gig anymore anyway.
