• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Howdy All!!

I am back after a 14 year hiatus!! In a new life phase so I have more time to enjoy music and guitars. I just purchased a 2004 Custom Shop CS-356. I thought I'd celebrate my return and reach out to any fellow owners.

I’ve been recently looking at the Mid-K and liking the short scale aspect of it.. but they are so rare.. (only two online for sale right now) .. and went looking for other makes/models that were short scale and semi hollow.. and there’s literally nothing else available out there (that I can find) 🤔

The Epiphone Elitist Byrdland are a bit more accessible than the Gibson ones, but are creeping (have crept) up in price. Of course, they have a touch more depth.

I did consider the Epi Byrd.. but it’s still a large body guitar.. I have guitars that size.. I like the idea of a smaller skinnier guitar.. but still hollow and short scale..
