Hi guys,
This afternoon I took my soldering iron to my White Custom, and set it up with fifties wiring, and I must say, I am flabbergasted!
It seems like someone's taken a blanket off it! It used to be quite a dark, muddy sounding guitar, but it the mod seems to have just breathed life into it.
The tone is much more airy and organic than before, although there is a more dramatic drop in tone earlier on in the pot's travel than I expected, but nothing I can't get used to quickly. It really has transformed the guitar, I can't for one second think why Gibson aren't using this wiring as stock.
Any ideas as to why that may be?!
Add another yay-sayer to the pile!
