It's weird he spells his name the same way we do. That's not all that common.... :)

Chris Daughtry was way better than the rest of the field. His performance rocked. I've watched all the Idols, while I think this season is a little weak overall, he is definately one of the best.

Elliot Yamin was excellent last night. I personally thought his song was way more challenging than Daughtry's. He blew me away. Gideon was good too.

Melissa is my favorite though. Then Katharine McPhee.

On tonight's show was Paula Abdul wasted? She sure looked like it. What was going on over there?

At the end, Brian Seacrest remarked that the judges should be grounded. I wonder what he meant.

Daughtry had something going for him with his song choice that none of the others had: modern and cool.

Most of them are singing and acting way too drippy, especially the guys. They've gotta get with it.

I love Paula when she's tipsy. I'd love to get tipsy with her just once. :salude

I knew Ayla Brown probably wouldn't win the whole kit and caboodle, but I was shocked to see her leave the show last night. Simon was right when he told her that it was her song choice that did her in. I think many in Massachusetts didn't care for her because of her silver spoon upbringing. Still shocked me though.

Kevin being in the top 12 shocked me! He does NOT belong there over Gedeon. Buckey is horrible, I don't have a clue how he made it.

Melissa making the top 12 was also a huge shocker.

Bo Bice stunk last night.

The young girls and the old ladies love Kevin, I'm sure. Bucky is horrible, but I'm sure he gets those deep country votes.

She's not the best singer, but I love her deep raspiness, very sexy. Not to mention that she's one real hot 21 year old.

He's into the sell out mode right now. He's got to sing the pop garbage for as long as he's under the Idol contract.

Oh yeah, Bo Bice sounded like he wasn't trying. Man he stunk. I thought he would be better than that. I guess it was a contractual obligation thing.

I didn't watch it at all last year but I did see Bo Bice on Leno awhile ago. He had his vocal chops going that time. Last night he sucked. I haven't missed it this year since my daughter likes to watch it. It's a shame Ayla got cut. Like they've said, song choice. She may still have a career because someone will know which songs fit her and she'll take that idol fame and run with it. Clay outsold all idols put together and he didn't win. I don't think that will be Ayla's case but she'll have a nice ride.

She's ten times better than Clay Aiken, but then again they all are.

Too bad Melissa is gone. Kevin should have been in the bottom three. I was shocked at who WAS in the bottom three last night.

I agree. I don't see "it" in Bucky or Kevin. Melissa forgot lyrics and at the level she's trying to attain that's unforgiveable. Shame though, she's got a nice tone in her voice. Who'll be the next to go...? :hmm

I love Melissa's voice. Plus she's hot. I'm very sorry she's gone too. Bucky must have a lot of call-in-fans. He sings everything sharp and out of key. Kevin's good, but he's just a kid. I think it'll be one of those two next week, but you never know. As Simon says, it's often just the song choice that kills them. I think Katherine McPhee may win (She's hot too! I love them Mc girls!)

I watched this season's for the first time on Tuesday. Who is that dorky white kid who looks like he's about 13? Why is he among the top 12?

That's Kevin. He's actually got a great voice, as dorky as he is. Better than many. But he'll be voted off soon.

Yeah there's no way Kevin will make it too much further. He looked surprised that he wasn't voted off.

Taylor really looks like he's having fun. He's always smiling and laughing. He did a really good rendition of Takin It to the Streets the other night.

Chris is going to win it.

When's 'Bucktooth' going home? I'm really surprised this kid has lasted as long as he has. He can't sing worth o' crap.

Bucky looked shocked when Lisa got voted off. No doubt he can't believe he's still there. There's a site- votefortheworst.com that advocates voting for one of the worst contestants. They were behind Kevin til he was eliminated. Now they are urging their legions to vote for Kellie Pickler.
