I have both 2018 braz Gibson and GY burst. My GY is pretty much better in every aspect except for the look.

Still not sure why people are buying forgeries, I mean replicas, when you can get the real Burst DNA like this one directly from Gibson. :couch

I agree. The Brazilian board is the icing on the cake. Afaic many of the recent crop of historics have been monstrously good. Some of the best Les Paul tones I’ve heard. The videos below are two of my favorites.

Additionally, every guitar is tonally unique. All Yarons don’t sound the same neither do all historics. Comparing 2 or 3 guitars of each is great fun but cannot be reliably extrapolated into any sort of sweeping conclusion. Gibson is making a great Les Paul, if there’s something lacking, I doubt very much it’s the guitar.
