• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The top is an insane mix of grain, flame and mineral streaks- only agumented by wear.
How many historics had you owned when you picked this one up- and where did it come from?

I had about 35 Historics. down now to about 20 or so.
The story gos like this.....
The guitar was up for sale on the forum. I had the beginnings of a Business with another forum member. So we bought the guitar.
Now this so called Business Partner wanted two 02' Flame Top 58's I had bought from Richie (We Buys) here in NYC. But I didn't want to give him 2 for one. So we put it up on ower site. Some one in Canada wanted the guitar so I got it all ready. Set up, Rewire, etc... Boxed it all up and waited. It was months and My "Partner" got into a huge fight like he all ways did with this guy. So in the end he didn't buy the guitar. I pulled it out of the box and started playing it. And the rest is history.... I gave the Business the two 58's and I took the Murphy.
There's more to the story that came after with my so called "Partner" but.....:fc

great stuff Todd. Love that lemon. If I have to sell my only historic to pay for my surgery, when things get better, Im getting a lemon. But I rather not sell mine in the first place!

Looks gorgeous. I love the aging on the top, it looks like it's just checkings, that what I'd personally like on a aged guitar. Makes me wonder, how's the back?

Well the back on the yamto is like all other murphys.
On my Keith Burst its aged and has deep buckle ware.
But that guitar was a custom order. It has a BRW bord as well.
