• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Do all 01 R8's come with the same frets and inlays? And if there is variation , which is the more preferred version?I've been looking around for one and was under the impression that all the appointments are the same on the R8's. I have been looking for a light one with a nice top and I never noticed any difference in frets or inlays in any of the one's I've tried.
Is there anything else I should pay attention to as far as details and features? thanks

They all have the same inlays and frets. Some have darker rosewood boards than others - whatever suits your taste should be the way you go. There is wide variation in the R8s in terms of the amount of flame on the tops and some variation in color, again go with what you like.

PSpanker, I think your links may be hard to open because you need to add a file extension name. like ".jpeg". My PCs not smart enough to know what type of file the pix are. I've had to rename all your files to see them.
