• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Picked this up yesterday. It appears all original except for maybe the leather handle. The pictures are from my Tech’s workshop while the amp is undergoing a checkup and the installation of a 3-prong plug.

+2 for Bob at Brookwood Leather. He's made some really fine "replicas" of old handles for me and he's great to work with.

But FWIW, you can still find handles of the original style at Ohio Travel Bag.

The one's Bob can make you are definitely better quality and will last for waaaay longer. But if you're into the "vintage" look and don't really plan on dragging it around a lot, it's nice to know that handles in the original style are still available.

And congrats on the amp -- those can be utterly fantastic amps!

That is so cool.

The color of the amp handle doesn’t look good with that amp and it’s wonky on one side. I had Bob from Brookwood Leather make me two amp handles and they are fantastic.

Thanks, good information and i’ll definitely look into a new handle once I get the amp home. I purchased a vintage style handle for a ‘62 Fender Vibrolux that I once owned. I’ll have to find my info, it may have been from the same company.

Killer amp with THAT vibrato.
I have a Magnatone rebranded as a Giulietti, and it's the best sounding 1x12 combo I've ever had, including several tweed-era Fenders and Gibsons.

I had the PANaramic 1210...pretty much the same amp...but separate vol/tone knobs for each pair of inputs, and you could jumper them. A little fire-breathing monster to be sure! I actually prefer my Magnatone Troubadour 213 though...

Cool amp! You'll really love it! The vibrato is other worldly! These amps have a ton of tubes in them, and more weird tubes in them than anything I've encountered.

6CZ5 power tubes???? I have never encountered those in an amp as far as I can recall. 6CG7??? Yeah….
I know that tube……it is also known as a 6FQ7. I have some of those, but I made a quick scan through my radio/TV tubes and did not find any 6CZ5, which were used in TV circuits as a vertical deflection tube. I should have some of them somewhere in the multitude of TV/Radio tubes I have accumulated!!!!!!!! Lol… They are very reasonably priced NOS.

Well, welcome to Magnatone World, lol.

Yeah, you won't find them in Fender Marshall, Vox or Ampeg amps for sure. But I think they're similar to 6973s, which you find in lots of Valco amps and Seeburg juke boxes. But 6973s use both pins 1 and 8 on grid 2, IIRC. I think 6973s will take a little more voltage.

Wow! That is the first PANaramic amp I've seen here. I just bought a Panaramic 260 style amp. Nice amp.
