• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hey it's Mat from Gibson Product Development - AMA

They do look amazing! Hey Mat, when will we see other models with custom colors? I would immediately buy a cardinal red SG special. The new Beato DC looks nice too, any chance we'll see OG collection LP DC Specials anytime soon?

    Firebird X for sale, $21K

Prototype #1, that’s why it’s so expensive. It’s for collectors, not players.

Hey Mat, just played a USA Casino the other day and what a great guitar! Any plans for more US-made classic Epiphones? Such a great idea to bring Epi back to its glory.

    50s Standard Goldtop P90 question...

Fair, will you buy it new from a retailer? You can always return it, but I’ve bought about 5 Gibsons brand new and never have had a QC issue, nor have I noticed issues on any of the hundreds of Gibsons I’ve tried at guitar stores. I’m sure it’s happened, but to call it a common thing, I don’t...

    50s Standard Goldtop P90 question...

Welcome to the LP world. Don’t believe everything you read online and go try the guitars for yourself, that’s the only way to know if it’s the right guitar for you.

Gene Simmons G2 Thunderbird Bass Launch promo

Not my thing either, but I’m really enjoying the content they’ve been putting out. Looking forward to that V

Honest question. Why do some people get so offended with expensive limited-editions?

I think a lot of people answered it, but my point is that I’ve read so much hate online (I know it’s a vocal minority, but still) when Gibson decides to launch a guitar that’s expensive, but who cares if there’s a guitar you can’t afford or simply don’t like? Someone clearly does because they’re...

Honest question. Why do some people get so offended with expensive limited-editions?

Why do some people get so offended when Gibson releases a very expensive, limited-edition CS guitar? (E.g. The recent Leo Scala ones, or even the Theodores). Do those people know they don’t have to buy said guitar? It’s not like Gibson is putting their USA or cheaper CS guitars out of...

Maybe the Demo Shop can bring us some of those variants. Love what you guys are doing there.

The Ebony one is by far my favorite one as well. I really dig them, but it’s out of my budget for a non-traditional guitar (they’re sold out anyways)

Thanks for the deets, Mat. And again congrats on the successful release. Any plans for USA Archive Collection models? Or will they all be CS?

Looks like there's a new model/body shape in town, the Theodore

5k and limited, this is the collector‘s version. Maybe if it’s successful they’ll release a cheaper USA version. But like J.D. says, this one’s just the first one in the Archive Collection. I dig it, but I’d love to see what else comes our way.

Hey it's Mat from Gibson Product Development - AMA

I can't wait to see what else shows up on the Archive Collection. Congrats on such achievement, Mat! Historical question now that we're at it. Were there many guitar designs that never made it to production? I'm guessing you're not doing them all for the archive collection, but wondering how...
