theres a bazillion different shapes depending on case type and year..sigh..
If you get a photo of the key ? You will then take it to a locksmith ? and have him make you a key ?That sounds right to me..thanks Jay!..now I need to find a lock key for it..any chance you have a photo of your sons key available?..

Actually if I get a photo of a key..I'm gonna search the internet find the right shape..then dremel/file it myself..Im really interested in the correct shape for the blank..If you get a photo of the key ? You will then take it to a locksmith ? and have him make you a key ?
Thanks Axeman!1999 and earlier......the faux ailgator tolex . 2000 was same graphics/location, but the smooth black tolex
That is absolutely awesome ! Best Wishes ! I had an Anvil case built for my Les Paul's for when I shipped them out for service to my tech . So I finally got the key after the case was built and one of the times I shipped her out my Tech was scratching his head thinking I locked the case which I did not . So the key is home in a parts bin unused .Actually if I get a photo of a key..I'm gonna search the internet find the right shape..then dremel/file it myself..Im really interested in the correct shape for the blank..
believe it or not I do my own gunsmithing too..and make knife handles. .started as a wood whittler when I was a little girl in Sweden with grandpa on the front porch..lol
All my other Guitars came with cases..at first I was gonna swap out my standard 60s brown case because I dont like brown cases as they show scuffs and dirt..all my other cases ..Gibson and Fender are black....but I was on the fence..changed my mind and decided to keep it in the original case...so then I was gonna get an R9 with a crummy case that had a broken handle..but I got outbid..sigh..so..why are you not going to use it? that's a good case. (apart from advertising an expensive guitar/target.
