• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

How does anyone live without a 335?

I’ve played Warren’s original and the 1st prototype (which had a wrong neck shape...) Warren’s late tech, Farmer(Brian Farmer) showed me both at a sound check one afternoon. Then I got to see one of the other Proto’s with the correct neck shape. It’s really sad that Gibson can’t do all of them right. Nice guitars!
Yup! That's Warren Haynes 199... :salude

The only issue I had with this guitar, right out of the box, were the ABR1 saddles, that looked like they were cut with a hacksaw... No bullshit! I contacted Gibson and they sent me a whole new bridge assembly. I slotted the new saddles the right way and the guitar plays like a dream... :salude

I know this is a forum dedicated to Les Pauls, but IMO the 335,345,355s are the most beautiful guitars ever made.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! :salude
Thanks. Mine is a dream-come-true, as I've been wanting an ES-345 for several years. Mine came with a history: original fingerboard had the owner's name in it. He was in an Illinois-based band that released an album and a few singles, and opened for Cream, The Byrds and others. I obtained a never-finished track that the band recorded in 1965, and finished it using the same guitar used in 1965.

Pretty much... Like I've said in the past, "The world's perfect electric guitar"... :salude

Agreed! Here's a pic of the original owner, Jimmy Fey with his band, The Unknowns. This is April 28, 1968, opening for Cream in St. Louis.

The original personalized fingerboard is on top of my Deluxe Reverb.

I've loved Les Pauls for so many years now, (I bought my first one in October, 1977) but the ES seems to have much greater warmth, sparkle and clarity.
