triad 6452-L and Triad 6452-E transformers?
I had 2 different fender Deluxes over the years and the 1958 had the ‘L’ version and the 1960 hads the ‘E’ version. Thank you

It's probably as simple as a year code. I can't imagine they did much different in the windings each year, as we know 50 amps can all sound different.

I have a 59 Deluxe with a Schumacher transformer. I posted pictures a while back. Sent it in to mercury to be rewound. They insisted it was a replacement and said Fender didn’t use these in Deluxes until years later. The transformer is most definitely original. I have a 1956 as well, could check the codes on it.

I have a 60 with a Schumacher OT and it certainly appears stock. The 2 6V6 into 8 ohm amps (Deluxe, Tremolux, Vibrolux and Harvard) were the first to switch to Schumacher OT's. Reportedly Fender was having too many warrantee replacements on the Triads. Any 5E3 Deluxe amp that had an OT replaced under warrantee might have a Scumacher OT and I believe by '60 if not late '59 they had transitioned to Schmacher OT's

The date codes on mine match the amp. They were trying to convince me that the transformer was from a 1969 Deluxe. Completely different transformer, for the record I love mercury magnetics. Everyone has off days. Neil’s young’s favorite Deluxe supposedly Has a Schumacher. I have set both the amps up the same and can not tell them apart sonically.

I have a ‘61 brown Deluxe and it has a Triad mains tranny but a Schumacher OT. I was gifted a blonde Bandmaster OT and I put it in the Deluxe! The B+ on the Triad after the GZ34 rectifies it is 440v dc. The amp cranks out a solid 32 watts clean and about 45 flat out! I put a Celestion Gold in it and it sounds wonderful!

A lot of people love those brown Deluxes. They are pretty cool, I just picked up a brown Vibrolux. The chassis looks great but some weenie painted the cabinet. I think I’ll send it to will at armadillo for a recover. I’ll post some pictures soon.

I have a brown Deluxe someone painted black- it was a fashion thing in 1965- and somebody went and painted it brown again.
Just a thought.

Someone did the same thing to the Vibrolux, black then brown. Will uses hide glue and does excellent work. Guitar amps look good when they are a little tattered but I really don’t like paint!
