• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

TAC, many thanks for the info on Ted's Bursts. Would you happen to know if they still sport their original serial numbers in the back of the headstock?

Here ya go Julio.

That's the first time anyone has seen the pic of him with both of his bursts that I took in 2015. It's not even ever been posted on his FB page but he gave Vic permission to use it in his book!

MANY thanks, Kris.

Not sure why but the photo you posted does not show up for me... :##

Looks like Photobucket is currently down (yet again). When it comes back up, the pic should appear.

So here you have the new galleries for these Bursts: 9 0360 and 8 5430.

TAC, if you have some more photos of 8 5430 to share we could complete the gallery. Right now it looks a little strange with just some partial pics. Thanks!

Have to give Ted Nugent credit for having good taste .I remember seeing him live in 1980 and he comes out with a Vintage burst during the show when he always was playing his Byrdlands .

I'll bet his guns are kept in better condition than his guitars...looks to me like some of the ammo budget should go to some original parts for these old warriors. Nothing cooler than honest wear but maintenance surely doesn't hurt providence...which is now firmly established thanks to the blade.

Remember, these were just tools of the trade and guitars. Not thought of as collectables. I dug Ted in the 70's and still like the music now.

You're slippin' Todd! :laugh2:

For sure! Lol.

They've been cleaned, restrung, waxed, frets polished, action checked and subsequently play great (though they are rarely played).

Yep, they need maintenance. ;)

I was referring to getting some of the missing parts back on them...apologies TAC as I didn't intend the inference to playability .
