THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING!
We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin
Horses for courses. As a Gibson guy for years the hard-tail Tele is much more comfortable to hand but position two on the selector and the ability to wiggle chords with the trem are handy on studio dates.
I have owned many a Tele, but I just can never seem to bond with them. I love the way they sound when other people play them, but it just isn't the guitar for me.
I always have at least one Strat in my (quite meager) collection.
If we're talking only 1 and no other options I'd have to say an Esquire or Tele. If I could have just two it would be a 50s/maple board Esquire and a slab board/early 60s Strat...I already have the Esquire
