• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Here's my Gil Yaron, with it's top made from a 100 year old reclaimed old growth maple table top that Gil's mom found. Marvelous guitar.:jim

That was one hell of a table! Maybe we can share a drink over it one day. :salude

Here's my replica made by Valery Vaschenko. The fretboard is from a 100 year old reclaimed Brazilian rosewood beam. The maple is an old set that is flitch matched instead of bookmatched. It weighs in at 8.4 lbs. I have a set of Tyson Tone pickups that Bobby wound for me that are his take on Duane's 59 set. It's breaking in very nicely!

I've had several people comment on how much this guitar looks like JBLPplayer's Principle Skinner.

Hi All,

...I love this thread.
Here is my homemade Burst.
I started with 9-1982 in mind but it turned out as 9-1843-ish

...who cares?

You don't see too many non-standard replica's, but to me they're just as cool.
Thought I'd post my TV junior. I shared some pics earlier in the vintage section regarding TV finishes; but figured this was a good spot for it.

I measured and double checked everything off of my '56 Jr, as I always wanted a TV single cut in addition to the sunburst Jr.

I found these tuners in a box of old tuners for $10. They are vintage Kluson; however, they're not brass post and peg, like Junior tuners, so I don't know what or when they're from. One tip was still intact, and so I melted on some old acoustic button's I found in that same box-o-parts.
