Hi all,

Would anyone know why the letter 'W' appears under the truss rod cover of my 2003 LP Standard (see pic). Also, it's a wine red AA flame, so would that make it a 'Standard +'?

Thanks.

Rob.

Rob, all the 2003 Standards had flame maple tops. The W most likely is some factory production mark regarding assembly and of no concern.

It looks more like a Luthier mark to me? It's also a mighty heavy beast, even though they supposed to have 9 hole weight relief. Must be some very dense mahogany, unless anyone knows different?
