• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Cherry red deluxe. I just had it in the basement with a blacklite.
The whole guitar is right. One piece of the mahogany neck(3 piece)
is uniformly down the length not stained or did not take stain/paint.
Opinions?

Customer request? The natural area is so precise. I did that job (not sonprecise) with my epiphone sg "glue neck", to slide easier.

The different pieces of wood can/will hold stain differently. Not usually so obvious, but it happens. :hmm

Have you posted this before? If not there was another similar one posted in the last few years. They were not using red stain then. The cherry red was sprayed and I cannot think of a reason to explain that. Odd, is an understatement. I have no idea but I cannot say it is stock, or not.
