• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Quite some time back I remember seeing an ES 3x5 and a Tele? Both guitars were modded I believe, but I can't recall the artist. What I remember was the cherry 3x5 was modded with mini switches and a string through body setup. Does anyone know who these guitars belong/ed to? I was looking for the photos, but Google has not delivered any results.

Those were the late & Truly Great Ted Greene's. Ted was a real genius and had sounds in his head that were way beyond the rest of us.
Ted was also one of the nicest people you could have ever met! He had a lot of guitars and probably could have bought a house with the sales of them. Instead he lived in a little apartment in the San Fernando Valley and gave lessons to anyone who wanted to raise their playing level a few giant steps! You can ask anyone who's life he entered what a true-hearted person he was. He's sorely missed by all his friends.
