• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

I had not seen anyone play a "The Paul" on stage until I recently saw Matt Whyte of Earl Greyhound.

Dougie Needles of the Blackhearts was rockin' his "The Paul" (or is it a Firebrand?) last October at the 9:30 Club

This is, IMO, the quintessential image of "punk". Great pic.

Thanks, man!
I was happy they let me take pics. :dude:
In that situation photog skills (which I like to think I do have) don't help nearly as much as being 5 feet from the stage and taller than everyone around.

That show really kicked my ass! It made me get up and start playing seriously, taking lessons from local guys who have different styles than me, etc. so that I can be a better player. He may not be well known, but between him and Joan Jett, they put on an amazing show!

Hell, I gigged mine while I owned it. It's obviously not your traditional Les Paul sound, but at least it's got familiar ergonomics.
