• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Don't know if tis belongs here, but since im talking about sunburst color/pickup color matching, ill post it here.

does the Seymour Duncan color "zebra" match the cream color pickup rings found on the 2005 les paul standard? or is the white on their zebra color a more bright white and not cream.

pics would be great, but a simple answer works too.

thanks!

what specific duncan pickup are you looking for?
I found that the creme on my zebra custom custom has a bit of a pinkish hue added to it, while the creme color on my zebra seth lover does not have that....

i don't know if this is relevant or not, but more authentic paf pickups like the seth and antiquities from duncan have butyrate bobbins not seen on other production duncans

since the 05 std pickup rings do have slightly a pinkish hue as well, strictly aesthetically speaking the aforementioned CC would match better than the zebra seth.
