• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Looking for some info. Picked this up last week as it’s something very different. Seller wasn’t sure on what he had, and the pictures weren’t the best. Initially I thought it was an R6 with a black top, nothing like I expected when I walked in. Still, I really liked

Seems like a translucent Teal finish, flame top, R6 configuration, nickel hardware (ABR bridge, lightweight tailpiece) and serial seems to date it to 2001. ‘CS’ serial number, ‘Custom Shop’ decal on the back of the headstock.

Anyone have any info on these?

I have no idea what it is, but I would not go by the sticker on the back of the headstock. Just look up the SN. I kinda like the look.

CS should make it a Custom Shop Standard. You could always ask Gibson for info. Cool guitar.

This may be Class 5 LP with P90s. They had non traditional finishes and Historic appointments. P90s were available on some. Most had quilt tops.

Nice!

Like others have said I think that's a Class 5. Historic features on a weight relieved body. They had a bunch of cool tops in 2001. The few I've played have sounded great!
