• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Best club gig amp ever.
Line up any group if amps with 1 and 2 speakers...Deluxes, Twins, Pros, Princetons...at any volume.
Turn them all on.
Plug into each one and play a little.
Then plug into the Super.
I guarantee the previous amps will all suddenly sound dinky.

I haven’t met a 1960’s Fender amp I didn’t like. Pressed up hard on the fence of buying a blackface.
Something I love would have to go though.
no- not SWMBO.

Good one Grid, a great amp the SR.
I was lucky enough to pick up a '65 decades ago and put in a fibreglass board to stop annoying static leakage across the original cardboard one, did the caps and a new set of speakers also(the old ones were a mix of later '60s Oxfords and CTS, not original to the amp), she roars.

Something magical with the size of the cabinet. Like the depth of early Marshalls. If they are too skinny they don't bark.

Mostly original, including CTS AlNico’s, blue caps, transformers, hardware, and knobs.

Needs filter caps, 3-prong cord and a checkup by my tech.

Here’s mine: I’m not sure what year it is. It sounds incredible. I traded an old Martin D28 for it at 30th Street Guitars in NYC about 30 years ago. (Seen here with my trusty 1959 es345!)

Sounds like you are just going to have to run them both together. I want to eventually get a brown concert with the brown vibroverb I have on order.
A ‘63 Brown Vibroverb would be the ultimate Fender amp.

I owned a Brown’62 Vibrolux (missed the reverb) and a ‘63 RI Vibroverb that was great, I can only imagine how good a properly spec’s vintage VV would sound,

My favorite amp of all time. I owned two when I was younger. Congratulations.

Amen!
I grew up listening to my Dad play through his '64 Super. Nothing else compares. (Especially with a Tele)
Blessed to have it now, recapped, with the original Jensens.
