Is this a drop-in bridge for 05 LP Standard?

According to the desc.: "This bridge is made to sit on small posts (9/64ths, not included), and the post spacing is 2-15/16th center-center. The saddles are spaced at 2-1/16th E-e, and there are no string notches cut yet. This bridge will fit on any guitar that meets the above specs."

I don't have many measuring tools, so does anyone know off-hand whether this will essentially drop on to a 2005 Les paul Standard?

If not, what bridge is a good replacement that will simply dop onto the stock posts/no drilling.

Thanks!

If your Standard came with the Nashville bridge, which it probably did, the Schaller will drop right on. The new Gibsons come with the PingWorks Nashville, but I don't know when they started using that instead of the Schaller. I prefer an ABR-1 style bridge, myself, and there are those type bridges that will also drop in without mods. The one I like is the Allparts "Old Style Tunematic". You can get that one for $24.50 on this page:

The Gibson ABR-1 won't fit on your posts unless you ream out the holes, but if you like the Nashville style, any Nashville type bridge should work, unless it's a Metric one.

If your guitar has bushings in the body under the bridge, it's a Nashville type. If it has posts that are screwed directly into the wood, with thumbwheels on them, that's the ABR-1 type.

That looks to be an original Schaller-made Nashville, so yes, it should be a direct fit for your Standard. And as far as Nashvilles go, it's probably the best kind you can get....much better built than the Chinese PW ones that come on the standards these days.

Having some low-E problems coming back to the saddles, just need the saddle actually.

Good call, waste of money I s'pose. Looks like someone else bought it anyways :salude

Actually, the original Schaller is of considerably better quality than the PingWorks-made ones that are on recent Gibsons. So getting it would be an upgrade. Better build and tighter fit, less problems with saddles/screws. I did that on my '07 Standard, and it was a marked improvement in stability and sound. If you can't get it from eBay, you can get it from AllParts.
