• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Heads up!

That's fellow forum member Nickvig's R9; and it is truly badass. I remember when he got it.
The best top I saw in the 03 Brazilians. I won't be suprised if someone doesn't push the button on that one real soon.

I for one think the Brazilian craze is just goofy, but THAT guitar is a killer looking axe! I like everything about it. The color & figure are out of this world.

Ya know, you can almost tell which eBay sellers are LPF members by the photos.
What I mean is look at the setup, stoptail down, top wrap, pole pieces adjusted v pattern individual height adjustment, etc...

That top is the bizzomb! Like most '03 BRs, the fretboard looks like Van Gogh's Starry Night, but the top.... the top....

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. I'm having a tough time getting rid of this guitar, those of you that know me know what the deal is.

I top-wrapped the guitar for the Duane/Billy G. mojo/vibe and usually adjust the pole pieces like that because a good friend of mine suggested it would work well.

Stompbox:

The lifton case isn't included because I don't have it. Simple as that. I wouldn't feel comfortable shipping the guitar to someone in that case, actually. I'm surprised Gibson is still using them, myself.

Doug:

That's about the straightest grain brazillian I've ever seen. I'm not sure what guitars you've checked out in person, but I looked through 50-60 at the '03-'04 Dallas/Arlington shows and quite a few at the local GC's during this run. I think it's one of the better examples, myself, YMMV.

That is such a fine looking axe. I've been looking around for an R9 for a while and if I had $1.5K more to spend for brazilian that BIN button would have been clicked very quickly. It's surprising to see that it's still there with no bids yet.
