Bridge question for 1983 LP Studio

Just recently picked up a 1983 Gibson Les Paul Studio in All Natural color.
Everything looks original except the bridge which I believe is a Schaller (says made in Germany.)
I'd like to find a period correct bridge...
Anyone know exactly what style was used back then?

Ehm.. chances are that actually IS the original bridge.. Gibson ordered their bridges from Schaller in the 80's.
Recent examples read "P.W." underneath, which imo is Ping Works.

Yes they are original. At that time there was a great exchange rate between USD and German Mark. So Gibson saved a lot of money using Made in Germany parts.
Bad side effect: a Gibson Standard was as expensive as hell for young German Players (as me).

Yes, that is the original Schaller Nashville, they designed it and Gibson used them for years. As previously stated, they have recently used the cheaper (and IMO not as good quality) Chinese Ping Works Nashville, they also use Ping tuners on some production guitars.
