My bridges are all on the deck. Press on 'em all you want. Saddles nice and high for easy good palm-muting. Neck tone control moved to bridge pickup. Hitting the volume knob? yeah, but also wrapping my pinky around it for cool swells and such.

Too common to be cool? like a Deuce coupe, a '57 chevy, or a good pair of jeans. That 1960 strat I posted will always be cool as hell.
I'm wondering if other than blocking/decking the bridge, although I don't really see them used much, a bridge cover would do it.

Most people just don't understand how to set them up. All you need to do is tighten the claw screws and it's done. No block needed. No bridge cover either, that would kill palm muting.

Yeah that'll do it. That's why I dont use the ashtray on my Tele. I keep that in the case. Actually, come to think of it, I took the bridge cover and the mute off my Jaguar and replaced the bridge with a Mastery.

I'd agree with the Zemaitis for all around cool factor but I always though checkerboard binding was cool too.

Love the '65 Thunderbird. Such an oddball...but it plays fantastic and the pickups are wonderful.
