Running Four Amps at One Time?

I have some things coming up where I want to run four amps simultaneously.

I do two amps quite a bit, but I was recording last week and had four amps hooked up and loved it.

I'll run a Tweed Twin, Magnatone Buddy Holly model, SLO, and a Dual Showman.

I'm looking at this:

Anyone has any experience with it or any better box I should look at?

I typically run four amps but have never used the Radial Amp Driver. I just run them with a Morley ABC PRO switcher and have two stereo delays with one going direct out into the 4th amp.

I have the Shotgun and I’ve used it only with two amps running dual mono, wet/dry, and stereo, but it worked very well with no issues whatsoever. I’m sure it’d work just as well with 4 amps!

But the fact that it has a Stereo IN and 2 Stereo Outs or 4 Mono outs is huge for the sake of versatility.

A 4 AMP wet/dry, or 3 amp [stereo] wet/dry/wet would be Godzilla like!

Not specifically that unit but other Radial multi outlet inlet devices. Bulletproof, excellent product, iso and ground switches to cancel hum from using multpie amps. I don't know why it shouldn't be highly recommended.

The thought of actually being able to run ALL of the pedals I have into 4 different amps?...

Thanks everyone! I'm not doing WDW or anything, just running right into everything turned up. Sounds like this is the way to go!

Low budget approach….all you need are three extra instrument cables. Lol……
If there is a ground loop, lift the ground connections at one end of each of those ‘daisy chain’ cables.
Voila…the ground for the amps is still maintained at the wall, and the loop is broken.
The only thing I knew about this stuff 56 years ago was that it was a way to get more complex sounds.

You may need a ground-lift adapter or two for your amps if there is noticeable hiss, but the "B and C" selectors of the Morley ABC PRO have both a ground lift button as well as a 180* phase button. Good for such amps as a 3x10 tweed bandmaster where the speakers are wired reverse. I've never had a problem. I used to run just a DD3 delay and a BF3 flanger to get the neccessary outputs but have found the Morley unit to be absolutely ideal for my setup.

I've done the daisy chain method in the past but the tweed twin doesn't work this way. My SLO doesn't either, although it has jacks on it I've never used like the effect send.

The hope is no pedals.

Ideally, I can put a box and a couple switches on this. I'm planning not to use the heavy channel on the SLO, so no footswitch is needed. I think the guy that fixes my maps may be able to make some sort of box with a few switches and multiple jacks for the vibrato on the Magnatone and a couple of extras in case I ever want to use the vibrato on the Showman or add my Fender Reverb Box or Tape Machine Echo by Roland.

Havent tried that but I recently acquired the Radial Headlight & it works very well. I ran a Friedman Small Box, Twin Sister & Hi-Tone Lowatt JP.

So you are going to just switch for the single or multiple amps at a time?

I am asking because there is an even better logic there (and a definite reason NOT to need pedals)!

(I'm thinking Matchless for clean rhythm or piercing lead, MGL 20 for dirtier stuff and nasty lead, Deluxe for in between and octal At Mars for something completely off the rails...)

My mind is now racing...

I will run everything at once for a good sound. don't want to get involved with switching amps, unless I need a clean sound in which case I'll put a clean amp there like a Twin or JC.

Never tried recording 4 amps simultaneously. So, I have no experience but you may find the information here.
