I have been a lurker on this forum for years but never really contributed. I've had a number of historics over the past 5 or 6 years but ended up moving them all on. The only one I really missed was a 2011 R7 that just rang like a bell and foolishly sold it to finance something else in the chase.
A couple weeks ago I made an impulse buy for a 2006 R9 off of guitar center's used website for a very attractive price. It really blew my mind and I've been looking compulsively for a stable mate with a slightly slimmer neck. I found this CME R8 with all R9 specs again for a very fair price. I am really loving the Carmelita neck and the Custom "S" Buckers, but the green lemon top is what really sold me. Here they are together. They are a potent pairing. If you can find one with a top you like, I think the 2019+ CME R8's are an insane value proposition. I have less than $8K In both of these guitars.
