Hi! Just bought a new Classic from a dealer. Nice guitar, but fretting notes on the B,G,and D at the 9th fret result in noticeable buzz. EVERY other spot is great. The 10th fret is a little high, noticeably towrds the center. I assume this is why I get the buzz.
So, do I send this to Gibson to have this taken care of? If so, anyone ever done this? Turn around time? Considering trying a local repair guy, but dont know any well enough to trust. Wish I could trust myself...and had the tools to do it...Nikki =)

Take it back to the store, and get them to send it, or take it yourself and get it paid for to an authorized Gibson repair person

Hi! I forgot to say I talked to a guy at Gibson already. I was a bit upset that this flaw made it past them and the store =( Also, it is a Classic Plus. But I have seen better tops on Epiphones. To say I was dissappointed was an understatement. However, the dealer was VERY accomodating =) Said if I sent it to them, they would just send to Gibson. Guy at Gibson said he would send a shipping label (prepaid by them), allowing me to drop it off and they would take care of it. Very cool I think =) Just wondering how long it will be away from home.
Damn I get attached to my guitars WAYYYYY too easily. My favs sit in a custom wood stand RIGHT next to my bed. Great to wake up and they are the first things I see =P Nikki =)
