100% Yes I do. It's not the people of China, it's the process in China. If everyone figured it out - the problem could be solved overnight.

Then, ironically enough, competition would bring prices to a never seen affordable level for a product made in the USA by the actual company said producing product.

The best part is - your "real" ES335 gave you the exact experience I'm describing; not only do you have a great memory of it, it afforded you a super nice Les Paul and paid off your debt. If that doesn't exactly prove my point, nothing will.

This shows how little you presume to know. That I waited nearly 20 years to get another 335 shows I was not only not in a hurry to replace it, I more than likely was not going to... that is, until the Joe Bonamassa 335 caught my eye

I guess... What a shame to be berated and made out to be such a bad guy for not supporting Gibson and their efforts to cheapen their brands with soulless crap made out of soulless material.

Getting this back on track. I traded a vintage pedal for this ES335. It’s a really well built guitar with no issues out the box.
One piece mahogany neck, 5 ply maple all around. My one gripe is the laurel board, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Removed the ashtray and the custom made plate. Like the look. E835CA24-A736-43CF-81D8-709F98B512A1.jpeg

Congrats that's a nice one.

Everybody would prefer rosewood but I don't mind the laurel, really. I feel the same about the granadillo on my Gibby Explorer, glad to have it.

These are extremely well made, as you state! Great value for money.

My nit is I believe the maple imparts a bit of weight, and my Riviera has a 3-piece maple neck so that may add to it.

At just over 8 pounds it’s a decent weight. Remove the ashtray and it’s lighter. That ashtray cover is a heavy one. Happy Years!

These are great guitars! Just picked up mine a couple of weeks ago and it hangs right up there with my custom shop Les Paul’s. The neck and fretwork on mine is perfect. The burstbucker pickups sound great. It’s a keeper 😎👍

Well its been almost 4 months since I bought the guitar and I dont have a single damn negative thing to say about the JB 335. Pick Ups rule, the neck and fret board perfect, it resonates like a monster and it just feels good in the hands and against the body whether standing up, or sitting down while playing. JB and Epiphone (China, lol thats for you A LOL) have built one real mutha *&^%$# of a guitar. THANK YOU
