I was offered a Les Paul in trade for another guitar. The only problem is it's supposedly a limited run Custom Shop for AMD computer processor company. The fretboard has AMD64 and the serial # indicated custom shop. I've been having difficulty getting much information about the quality, sound and playability. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds false. You can call the Gibson Custom Shop- or probably email them. They can identify it.

It could be legit. Pics would help. Gibson Custom did all sorts of funky one-offs. I've seen both a Les Paul and Explorer done for Yahoo.com, Playboy and Penthouse Les Pauls, and a Lucky Strike 336, just to name a few. Anything is possible if you're willing to pay for it.
