Hi,
I was looking at some listings on an auction website and came across a weird Gibson Les Paul Junior Special with a metallic blue(?) finish. I can't seem to find anything about it on archives of Gibson's website from that year, maybe it has been refinished sometime in it's past. Hopefully someone can confirm my theory or at least help me find more about it.

Thanks a lot,
rfred

Email Gibson with the serial number, they’ll send you the spec sheet on the guitar. That might shed some light on your questions.

Cool looking Special.

That’s a strange one, ‘Gibson’ inlay on headstock and no neck binding. Usually a Special with inlay on the headstock also has a bound neck and no belly carve. This guitar looks like an everyday worn or satin Special with the belly carve, but those usually have a decal ‘Gibson’ on the headstock.

Gibson finally gave me a reply, turns out it was originally in cinnamon color. Thanks a lot for the suggestion to email them!
