• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I'm selling a Gibson Custom Shop '63 SG Jr. VOS.

Guitar highlights:
* VOS finish from Gibson Custom Shop. It's a very light relic. The finish and the aging on the tuners and bridge are from the Gibson Custom Shop.
* 6lbs 7oz. I believe it's 1-piece mahogany, but there's no official spec saying that, so judge for yourself!
* Normal "Comfy C" shaped neck - not a "blade" like many vintage SGs. It's not a skinny neck, but also not fat. Pretty much any experienced guitarist will appreciate this neck.
* Setup, action and intonation are perfect. setup with D'Addario EXL110 (10-46). No technical issues. No modifications.
* No neck dive. I've played this guitar with a strap a handful times and never noticed any "neck dive". I know SG people watch out for that.

My history with the guitar:
* I bought the guitar from River City Guitars in Spokane, WA. in 2020
* Bobby from River City Guitars bought the guitar from a friend who worked at Chicago Music Exchange and was sent this guitar as an demonstration of the type of work the Custom Shop could do under JC Curleigh.
* I played the guitar once every 6 months, I have too many guitars.
* Kept in the case in my non-smoking home studio.

The 2020 Gibson Custom Shop models are special in my opinion. JC Curleigh had taken over as CEO and brought to the Gibson Custom Shop a recommitment to vintage-style instruments. The Murphy Lab started in December 2019, right before this guitar was made, and although this isn't an official "Murphy Labs" instruments the influence on the VOS aging in the 2020 guitars is noticeable. I have a Custom Shop Les Paul and Custom Shop ES-335 from 2020 that are also stellar like this guitar.

PS: I've never sold a guitar on Les Paul Forum yet, but search "aguynamedben" on TheGearPage, Ben's Music Bazaar on Reverb, "aguynamedben" on eBay/Twitter/Facebook/Instagram, or just Google my name "Ben Standefer". I'm happy to do a Facetime call to build trust!
