Anyone gig with an original 5E3? And if so…

I’m playing through my Clark Beaufort Special, which is a straight up ‘59 tweed Deluxe clone, with my new band. R7 straight in, I dial the controls to taste depending on the room and how much raunch I want. I’ve got a Celestion Blue in there and it sounds incredible. The high efficiency of the speaker allows me to hang with a with a moderately loud rock band. My only complaint is that I’d like a little more punch in the low end. I’ve been wondering if a G12H30 would stay tighter and punchier?

Not a Tweed Deluxe, but a '56 Tweed Tremolux. Fenders I plug into MIC (1 input), Gibson into INST (2nd input). The original Jensen was not good in live situations, I installed a Celestion AlNiCo Blue. Perfect speaker for these amps

Someone, maybe it's Weber, makes a solid state rectifier that will plug into the spot where the tube rectifier is plugged in. That should help tighten up the bottom.

I have the one before the regular Deluxe and I use it a lot. I had it all fixed up and I don't use any pedals or anything with it. Nice sounding amp for the right gig.
