I'll try that again...
I recently got a very nice 52 goldtop with a repaired /broken headstock. I have been looking for one like this so I could convert to a wrap around tailpiece without the guilt of marring an original guitar. Of course I wanted the real deal but not a refin and they were just too expensive. Anyway this one is the perfect candidate: all original except for the pickguard and the headstock splice and she only weighs 8.3 pounds with the big heavy trapeze tail on. OK....has anyone done this?? I don't want to screw it up, but I'm dying for the wrap around feel and tone. Is it possible to do a special "low boy" bridge so I won't have to reset the neck? Thanks for any wisdom on this!
