2021 50's LP Standard- neck pup muddy muddy.

Long time player. Gigging musician. I can hold my own with a soldering iron. Please help, does anyone have exp in doing the "50's Wiring Mod" specifically on a newer LP? I know it opens up your pups and acts as a treble bleed. Thanks.

I use a hybrid wiring, I use 50's wiring on the neck pup and modern on the bridge. I like the combo..

With all pots on 10 you will not hear any difference between the wirings! Other suggestions: To cure a muddy neck pup you can change the Volume pot to 1 meg (still a bit muddy but more balanced with more highs), change the magnet to a A4 (best cure imo) or install a treble bleed of any kind (will only work with lower volume setting on the volume pot).
