This is just an amazing piece of guitar history! I did a set up on this for the owner- an all original, basically unplayed 1961 Gibson SG Les Paul Junior.
This thing has sat in someone's closet since 1961. Even the alligator case is mint!

Excellent!

And thanks for the brilliant Allman Bros licks for my Sunday morning... ah, just afternoon.

Nice to see one without a warped pick guard like my 62. Mine has the “lightning bar” bridge. Mojoaxe makes a compensated one of these as well. Opened with “Rock the Nation” back in 1974. I’m glad someone still plays it.

Jeez, it's like someone bought that guitar in 1961 and forgot all about it! Beautiful! Loved the Phil X video!

I'll never forget the first time I saw one of these style of guitars back around 1966. A friend of a friend had one and I thought it was the most amazing, wicked and coolest guitar I'd ever seen. It was the two pickup Standard model. I still remember him saying "it's a Gibson Les Paul" as he pointed to the headstock. I don't know what year the guitar was made and if I remember right it had the Maestro tailpiece.

Thanks and yeah it's crazy! This guitar even still had a "new lacquer" smell. Pretty hard to believe. I've never seen one this pristine

I would worry about the neck join and my clumsiness. But they sound great. One for sale here locally- I need to check it out.
